Thats a list from Alakhazam, I put X's in the spots where I think they
might not be included. But thats just guesswork.
I have heard several people say, for example, that POK will be included.
This is such a huge difference that I'd really like to know one way or
the other; if it is, then travel, quests, gear, potions... the location
of the "quasi bazaar", almost everything, really changes dramatically.
The probable absence of Clarity potions, for example, is one thing thats
been stopping me from trying a Wizard.
Is there a definative list somewhere? Even just reports from beta
testers? Most importantly, whats up with this POK thing, I'd think that
would be.. lets see, three months per expansion, what, a full year away? >> Stay informed about: What zones will be available on the progression servers? |

Nedaria's Landing won't open till LDoN, and without Jaggedpine, couldn't
be reached on foot anyway.
PoK won't be opened till PoP is, I'm sure I've seen that stated.
Clarity potions - if they keep the recipes that are current, and the
items on vendors in old world zones, shamans will be able to make levels
1,2,3,4,6 and 9 immediately (well once the mobs ae killable), as the
drops are old world. Might take some effort as some items sell only in
Freeport, others only in Halas, etc. Levels 5 and 10 need Kunark era
drops - the others need PoP or DoN I think.
A good source of income mayhap? >> Stay informed about: What zones will be available on the progression servers? |

Oasis will probably not be included with live because the progressive
server is not going to be the classic EQ but rather current eq with
locked expansions. As it is, Oasis was merged with South Ro as one
zone.

POK book were all in places but POK wasn't up last I tried. Some
special zones like Nedaria went live with later expansion and probably
won't be available at launch.

I'm not aware of a detailed list. A quick and dirty list would be to
look at EQAtlas.com site and ignore anything not part of Antonica
Faydwer, or Odus contenient. That site has not been updated since POP
era and could be used as a general guide to what will be available.

Jaggedpine was added between expansions as I recall, so not sure what will
be done with it.

See, this is the sort of mystery that I'm wondering about. If they
include the updated NRo/SRo, then how about all the zones which were
added not as part of an expansion?
Paineel, Warrens, The Hole, Stonebrunt, Jaggedpine... none of those were
in the original game, but none are part of an expansion either.
And do you get Kithicor as it originally was, or as it is now?
Splitpaw? Befallen? Mistmore?
If the intent is, as you say, to merely unlock expansions, but otherwise
use the game as it is today, then all of the above should be in, and in
their current state.

I'll grant you, Nedaria's Landing does seem a part of an expansion, even
though it came in before the expansion was actually released... it was
kind of a "teaser" showing the graphics and so on, and for most people,
wasn't interesting for much, although I've heard the Forgotten Halls is
really a good lowbie PL zone. >> Stay informed about: What zones will be available on the progression servers? |

Added with and for GoD. May not be in, though it was opened to all
with the expansion. Tough to tell.

Might be since it isn't expansion-specific, but seems out of place.

Also not expansion-specific but it sure would be out of place and I'm
not sure you can even get the mission until the group average reaches
60 or so.

Monster Mission, won't be in.

I thought they said that on the SoE boards. I could be wrong and would
not be a bit surprised if there were no PoK. Still, how many people
today with their cushy take on EQ would be unable to deal with a game
where you have to travel for an hour before you actually group?

Interesting question: Can you name which mob must be defeated to open
each expansion?
Naggy and Vox.
Kunark: Trakanon? Or do you get in to Veeshan's Peak? Or is that
possible since it was "upgraded"?
What do you kill in Velious? Vindi? Wake the Sleeper? Kill
everything in NTOV?
Luclin: Emp? Or would they need to take out Seru as well? Or
something in Vex Thal?
PoP: Quarm.
What do you kill in LDON? Is there even a progression in the raids?
LoY: I guess the gimp version of Innoruuk? Or which ever evil god is
in LoY? Will they bother requiring people to unlock this?
GoD: something with lots of consonents and very few vowels in his
name.
OoW: Mata Muram
DoN: Vish and whatever the other dragon was.
DodH: this is obvious.
PoR: no clue. >> Stay informed about: What zones will be available on the progression servers? |

Will they be requiring an era to be 'finished' before opening the next,
or just the 'main' bosses killed?
>

Agree as 'main' mobs; to finish, one might consider Inny (which
version?) in Hate, CT in Fear. Will Hate be back to the way it was? I
don't think new Hate 2nd floor could be tackled at level 50...
> Kunark: Trakanon? Or do you get in to Veeshan's Peak? Or is that

If VP were still in its original state, I would have said Phara Dar
(final dragon in VP, iirc). But who knows what state it will be in?
Will the new key quest even be in? They have until Kunark is opened to
decide these things, which will probably be less time then they have
planned, knowing SOE.
I would say Trakanon as main, VP dragons as finished.
Sky is interesting also - I believe it was open before Kunark
originally, but you need level 60 to even contemplate finishing it.
> What do you kill in Velious? Vindi?
Vindi is baby's first raid mob in Velious, wouldn't you agree?
> Wake the Sleeper? Kill
> everything in NTOV?
Seeing as Velious was where raiding really took off, there is a lot to
choose from. 'Finishing' Velious I'd say would be wake the Sleeper and
finish NTOV (will Vulak`Aerr be there, and if so in what form?). They
might call it done once Tormax, Yelinak, Tunare are down.
> Luclin: Emp? Or would they need to take out Seru as well? Or

Emp and Seru as main mobs. Finished would be Aten Ha Ra (Vex Thal). The
idea of doing shards again... bleh. I really hope they don't require
Vex Thal entry to open PoP.

Yes, easy to say.

Don't know, never did them,

It is Innoruuk, but yes it's interesting as to how they will figure
this into 'progression'.

But that's the thing. Are we gonna need to kill the toughest mob in
Skyshrine, Kael, and Thurg? Just one? Wake the sleeper? There are a
lot of ways to do it and none of them are completely satisfactory if
you ask me.

They may well if Aten is indeed the main "boss" of Luclin. I never did
my shards and dont know anything about VT though.

I have to wonder if they are even going to bother locking LoY and LDON
(or should I say, requiring that they are beaten to get to GoD). The
thing is that the raiding guilds will be rushing to be the first to do
it (again) so the minute someone says you must kill Mob_A in order to
unlock the next expansion, everyone will do it. They would unlock LoY
and LDON in a matter of hours if they could beat Quarm. So do they
take the server back down again and patch back in GoD? Or do they try
to put LoY and LDON before PoP? Or do they figure that by the time
anyone gets that far they will have sold the whole franchise to someone
else? >> Stay informed about: What zones will be available on the progression servers? |

>my shards and dont know anything about VT though.
Hard is all I can say. My guild regularly raids there but a force of
about 25 peeps. half bazaar geared and best tank is about 14k hp.
Takes us about 6 hours just to go halfway if we plow from start. My
guild is nowhere near the level of hard core raiding guild but we can
handle VT just fine.
First time raiding there without the benefit of high level buyable
gears is defiantly going to be hard.
But wait till we get to Overlord Mata Muram. Took the top guilds
month before OMM was killed.
