Post subject: x0tix's Wolfling Run 2005 #2
Archived from groups: alt>games>creatures (more info?)

Eggs: 4 male and 4 female all made by me from the Canny 2 genomes.

World: NeoAlbia01, cleaned out history, back-up, genetics, and egg folders.
Tranfered Canny2 eggs to Egg folder.

Removed: All badplants (put all poppers in the pond --lol)using Brad's Weed-
Be-Gone (removes the nasty Fungi in the swamp, too.); Punch Toy; The Rabbit
that eats ALL the carrots; The Cheese Vendor under the Incubator room.

Added COBs, Food: Eat Meat (all critters are edible), JayD's PopShrooms2,
JayD's FlowerPak plants, Bananas, Food Vendor 3.0 (replaced the Cheese
Vendor)

Added COBs, Other: No(Say)NeedV2, Sleep Restore, Purple Ball (injects
boredom reduction when used), Ocean Bridges, Laptop V2, Don's PickUp,
Nesting Bluebirds, Gamestate, Brad's Incinerator (cause I like to play with
the WHooSH! of fire in it and I'm proud of those sprites.)

Utilities: All Gamestates turned on; Egg Sitter on. Brad's WolfControl on
standby (may turn that on tonight before bedtime).

Modus Operandi: Hatched 4 females from the Canny 2 eggs, one of each breed.
At age 30 minutes, hatched matching Males. =). Name them all with A-names.

When nearing breeding stage, but not "with egg", since that always crashes
the world when you try to re-import them, export all and change the file
attributes to read-only then re-import them.

Check every four hours(Except when sleeping), interfere only to remove
senile ones, and name, export, copy and re-import any available breeders.

Let run for 24 to 48 hours.

Wish me luck. =`)

Woah... Now, that's good news even if you weren't at point B, at

I was astounded. That NEVER happened with WIN98se.

Thank you!

Came back in the morning to a Silent Spring. Not a norn or egg anywhere.
History showed that they all grew old and died without producing any more
offspring. =(

Guess I'll start a completely clean world from Eden.sfc and try Slink's
genome, since the Canny 2's were worse than useless.

Still don't understand completely where everything is being stored. The
ingame history still had the old stats added to the new stats, even though I
got rid of everything I coudl think of to clean it all out.

It made the kid want to play with her catz again, but she couldn't find the
disc. =`(

Hard to believe she's 16 already. lol *gives Old Father Time a whap with a
wet kipper to try and slow him down*

I think I made some exporter thingamjig once to cope with that kind of
thing. Wait a sec.

Damn, must have it on the other comp. It took all the events that
occured (well, the important ones) and wrote in a cvs file in your
Journal directory. Quite handy to have IMHO. I should have access to the
machine in question in a few days, so if you are interested I could mail
it to you then.

Awww... I never did get the hang of wolfling runs. I think it's
because I couldn't bear the thought of a Creature dying before I'd
even seen it. In fact I never really got my mind around the whole
death thing in the virtual world... Actually I exported and saved a
backup of every single Creature I ever had -- how sad is that? In
Creatures Adventures, of course, that meant I had to save backups of
the whole darned world. I wish they'd made those ones exportable too.

Sorry, I can't help you there. It's too long since I actually really
looked into the files or even had time for a good play in the games.

Have a look at my petz site -- I've got "foolers" up for all the
P.F.Magic games ( plus Petz 5 ) except for Catz 1, which I'm working
on, and the Mac versions which I'm _not_ working on. Why not try one
of them, she might enjoy...

Don't do that -- I should have warned you, some of the fuel he uses in
those roller-blades is kipper-oil!

I think of starting a collecting. Every day a new one Wink No, really, I
tend to discover more and more things I'm allergic against, though
mostly in a mild form. Anyway, these things are bound to get worse with
time and I'm not that old yet...
There are so many things my mum can't eat and chances are I'll get all
of that sooner or later. And spring can get quite unnice as well, with
all the flowering stuff. Maybe I should move to some place with a
moister(?) climate. But hey, I can't complain, things could be a lot
worse.

moister climate = mold allergies (trust me) lol

Yes. One nice thing is that it keeps our immune systems operatng at a high
level. I almost never get really sick. Just this constant low level "not-
well-ness" but I practically live on those psuedophen-stuff caplets.

I have found that a couple hours a day of aerobic exercise helps a lot. =`)

Oh, come on. It can't be that much worse than here...

I assume you are talking about anti-allergics... well, I try not to take
any if not absolutely necessary.

I don't think I'm going to try that...

Hm... I don't think I even have a gopher client Wink
Anyway, here you are. It creates two log files in the World's journal
directory in CSV format. I put it in a directory '012 Addititonal', so
it gets automatically loaded on startup (new and old worlds). Feel free
to alter any bits you don't like. The way it is it keeps track of death
and births, so you should be able to reconstruct a family tree of it.
Time is in world ticks, IIRC, but adding real time shouldn't be more
than one or two lines.
