hmm, what is the "official Blizzard designer tactic"? I.e. how do you
kill him?
Anyway, many dancing rodents to your guild.
And that said, it's abit cheap, isn't it? "We are proud to announce that
we have entered you in the competition that may award you 25 Beta keys
for your Guild Members". I mean they could just have given them to you ...

Is this the department I write to if I want some help with the hole in my

Yesterday our guild master got this in the email... we all (the guild) just
have no words and don't know what to say about this.

Dear costumer,
We acknowledged that you are the Guild Master of The New Dawn on the English
realm Ragnaros. We would like to congratulate with your guild for being the
first ever to be seen killing Razorgore the Untamed using the official
Blizzard designer tactic. We are proud to announce that we have entered you
in the competition that may award you 25 Beta keys for your Guild Members
that will grant you access to the Closed Beta server. In addition we will
mention your Guild Name in the next Blizzcon for your successful
achievement. We hope you will continue with these successes.

Oh, LOL, sorry
I already knew it, so it didn't surprise me too much
Yes, they do it Randomly, and not for EVERY SINGLE raid occurring,
but they do it
Maybe with the "best guilds", just to see if they are "cheating" of
what
So, next time, keep in mind that an "invisible GM" could be there with
you Pants on and be nice

My guild got the 25 invites "email" but without the BS reason behind
it. The top half dozen guilds or so of each faction on each server have
claimed to get the invites about a week or 10 days ago. Dunno what to
make of yours, especially since it says you've been entered in a
competition for the keys? Here's ours:
We would like to officially invite you and select members of your guild
to take part in the closed beta test for our upcoming expansion, World
of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade. If you would like to participate,
please respond to this email and include the name and email address of
25 other guild members whom you'd like to receive an invite.
Blizz can contact the GM probably by just checking the info associated
with account, same way they send you emails to let you know you've been
bad Our guys dont have keys yet, just Blizzcon folk and Blizz
friends/family types. I'll let you know if anything comes of it.

Word from blue on the Blizzard is simply that they can spell, so this isn't
from them. That of course is a forum moderator rather than anything higher
up. But given how unbelievably unlikely and obviously false this is, I
think you'll have a hard time getting them to take you seriously enough to
bother with an official denial. I mean, to even consider doing this, they
would have to have a GM watching every Razorgore kill by every guild.
That's insane, straight off. Secondly, I note from the same forum that
other people have been using your tactic for more than a year now, so it's
bogus from the start anyway.
Could you post the headers of the email so we can have a look. I really
don't believe it, and my guess is it's someone from your guild winding you
up. Either that, or it's you winding us up, in which case I ain't biting.

I frequently get mail from them, usually regarding tickets I entered,
but ended up logging several hours later, before they'd gotten around
to answering them. >_<

That's why I said it's someone from your guild having a laugh. Thinking
about it - how would Blizzard know the email address for your guild leader?
It's not like you register your email address with Blizzard, ever. Or are
you suggesting they not only have GMs watching every kill, but then also go
out and do web searches to track down the leader of any guild they're
interested in?
Frankly, it's a bit stupid to even think this *might* be real.

Hum, so people have even *less* to do? With the standard tactic, the
kiters, healers and orb controller have stuff to do, while the DPS stands
around and looks pretty. With yours, *only* the controller and healers do
stuff? How very... intriguing. Can't believe that's the designed tactic.

We cleared the eggs on platforms, then we have done fireball volley and
kited the mobs with razogore by jumping off the platforms where usually
kiters(warriors+hunters) kite while healers healed him (razogore).

That's trivial. Give me your email adress and you'll receive a mail from

Trivially. I could send an email claiming to be "from" anyone in the
world - it's an arbitrary string. That's why you need to check the headers
to find out where it *really* came from.

Their servers appear to keep track of all client transactions
(at least for a while - GMs can look at what happened during
a trade, for example). I think it's quite possible they can
just play back all instance encounters if they need to. It
would certainly help them fix bugs with boss encounters, as
they could then reproduce them easily.
