Hi,

Can anyone recommend a decent wireless controller for the PS2?, Ideally I
would like one that takes AA batteries (can be found much cheaper than AAA)
and has a long battery life.

A friend bought a Game branded one and the batteries don't last very long
(compared to my wavebird and wireless 360 controller which seem to last
ages)

many thanks,

Julie

Battery life seems to be a bugger for them, I haven't seen one with
reasonable battery life yet, most seem to take the more expensive AAA
batteries too.

I've always been happy with ye olde fashioned pad extension cables me, I
never even bothered with a Wavebird for my Cube. Until a machine releases
with them as standard, I'll stay with extension cables personally. I usually
trap the cable somewhere between me and the console, to avoid the old broken
ports/cables snagging moments - which I've never done yet anyway. I don't
know why they've not really appealed......weird that, just never paid them
much thought I guess. When I'm wrapped up in a game, I forget about the fact
there's a cable connected to my controller (forget about the controller too,
if the game's good) Smile

Perhaps on the next round of consoles, I'll catch up with all you young pups
and yer new fangled thingamajigs. Wink

I agree on the Logitech cordless. Feels good, not too heavy and not too
light. Never had any problem with the wireless connection, and is
totally precise. You can switch between modes like digital/analog and
vibration on/off for battery saving.

yes , i agree with you , it haven't seen one with
reasonable battery life yet, Apart from the original battery, the battery life should be similar with others,of course , the price of the battey is expensive, the quality is good. and the battey life will be longer.

Well, I'd recommend finding one that takes Double A's. I found they work well, specially when they're rechargeable, considering I have Rechargeables on my 360 controller and since then never bought Double A's at the Dollar store.
