She's just got a new PC and everything is so much better. The game runs more
smoothly, less crashing, she can see Sim fingers and cut scenes have been
enabled for the first time as well.
BUT
Sometimes when she enters CAS she can name the family, create a Sim, name
the Sim, randomise the Sim - but there is no Sim there to see. Not a
sausage. If she then accepts the invisible Sim he turns up in the family
screen, but you can't just go around accepting random Sims. If she then goes
to try to edit him again he turns invisble again.
Suggestions?

Update video drivers (even new machines can have driver updates
available). It sounds like a video problem. She can also try other
resolutions (lower or possibly higher to match a monitor's natural
setup) and other video settings like shadow. |

Found the problem - Inteen. I don't know if she had a non-compatible version
or not but it was making her CAS Sims invisible. No more inteen - no more
invisible CAS Sims.

Must be an incompatible version for whatever she has. I've not had that
problem. I'm going to be torn when Apartment life comes out with Jase
retiring and everything.
