This weapon is ineffective

What type of weapon is needed against various monsters? I know that I
need at least steel for imps, but I had an elven weapon that was
ineffective against a daedric seducer (IIRC) and a dwarven weapon that
was ineffective against something else (don't remember what.)

IIRC, with a mithril weapon, you can hit anything.
