Quick question to the people in the know.

I recieved The Orange Box recently, played through EP1 & 2.
I have'nt finished Portal yet, but I'm working on it.

Considerable time has passed since the release of HL2, so there must be some
good MODS to play now, right?

I must have played every decent (and many terrible) MOD for HL1, and now I'd
like to catch up on the best of the best of the Single Player Half Life 2
MODS available.

Anyone who cares to comment, please shout out your favorite Single Player
Half Life 2 MOD, or if anyone has a decent MOD list bookmarked, please
share.
I found some info on Wiki, but I need some recommendations or a site with a
rating system perhaps.

TIA, Lefty

Welcome back Lefty Smile I think you deserve some of those "I thought I
could live without AGHL, *sob* I was wrong" points Wink

I haven't really played any of the SP addons for HL2, but I hear alot of
people raving about Minerva: Metastasis

Metastasis is probably the most polished mod out there (cannot recommend
it enough) plus you might want to google Rock 24 (sorry - lost the link)

Hiya Lefty,

All of those already mentioned are good ones. Also try "Mistake of
Pythagoras" (by the guy who made "Peaces Like Us" for HL1)....d-l it
it at: http://www.moddb.com/mods/6422/mistake-of-pythagoras

and

"Coastline to Atmosphere"...d-l at http://tinyurl.com/2znruf

Both are really good sp mods.

I'm just finishing "Offshore" (currently in beta, but a really good
one) ... d-l at http://tinyurl.com/2bzmka

Don't be a stranger....

Yeah, the mod has a few problems....hordes of enemies morphing in, and
the final maps are a bit frantic. But you have to admit it's
challenging, there are some interesting puzzles, and it has a mission
story-line (which is sadly lacking from most of the mods out there).

Anyway, the mod got some good reviews and most people seemed to enjoy
playing thru it. I guess it's a matter of personal preference.

Great game. You don't mention TF2 - you tried that yet? We've had a
couple of bashes, which have been a real blast. We even got Paul Catley
out of retirement for one of them Smile

Ok playing through as God atm for the scenery
There's quite a few good ideas here and there

Imho Awakening or Rock 24 is better, but it is not bad just annoying a few
places Wink

I claim ignorance, having not used a computer with a graphics
accelerator in almost 6 months. Look, I've become so alienated I've even
used my real name on usenet!!
