Can Sony get any positive buzz from the media over the PS3? - Whenever I am seeing articles on the PS3, there are shots and shading against Sony and the PS3. Like saying, "oh, 2 is going because the PS3's sales have been so poor the title doesn't merit I know that Sony has..

should be compatible - its the 40Gb I took out of the PS3 when I upgraded
it!
I plug it into the usb slot on the ps3 - then what do I do what say watch a

You've got it in an enclosure... maybe the enclosure is not compatible.
Have you formated the drive since removing it from the PS3?
It should show up on the top of the Photo/Music/game list as an external
device. If you've got a USB flash drive, plug that in and you'll see what i

No, what he meant was the USB box you mounted the drive in might not be
compatible. Did the box require you to install a driver off of cd for you to
be able to see it in windows? If so, it aint gonna work on the PS3.

yeah, no luck. i did format it as fat32 via diskmngr on xp. but cant see

You did what you were supposed to do, it needed formatting as FAT32. But like
the last poster said, most likely the box itself is not compatible. If you
have to install a driver from a cd or floppy to make the case and drive
useable in windows, its not compatible with the PS3. I had an old 6BG pocket

I was trying to tell the OP that using the cd or floppy that came with the
hard drive could possibly have installed that disk overlay driver onto the
drive and only a pc would see that driver and translate the drive layout
