Way back in the early '90s, when I got my very first computer, I played
a text adventure game that involved finding a vampire in a haunted
castle.

You started at 8:00 PM - each move was one minute. The vampire woke at
midnight. So you had approximately 240 moves to get what you needed,
find the vampire's coffin, and drive a stake through his heart. If the
vampire woke, the game ended and you lost.

I can't for the life of me remember what the game was called or where
it came from. Anybody here remember? If you can tell me where I could
find a copy, you'll be my pal for life. I'm even willing to pay for it
if anyone has one for sale.

Thanks

That's it! Thanks - greatly appreciated. If there's anything I can do
in return, please drop me a line.

Thanks again.

It nearly sounds like Scott Adams' _The Count_, but that was early 80s,
and you had three days, but you had to sleep.

Awesome. First time I had seen source code with line numbers in almost
20 years. Wow.

Can someone recommend a basic interpreter for Windows that can run
this. I tried a couple but they had problems.
