I have been using the msfs 9.0 with the upgrade for a long time, i had
reinstall from scratch but now the computer will not let me reinstall
the 9.1 update,, it says it is already there but I know it is not. The
msfs about in 9.0 says i am running 9.0.. any ideas on how to fix
this>> must be some old 9.1 reg entry but i can find it.

Did you uninstall the upgrade patch before you uninstalled FS9.1? I had the
same problem and then read the instructions that came with the update. Try
running an uninstall of the update patch (you should have a file FS9Update
Uninstall.exe in your FS9 root directory). See then if you can install the
patch. If that doesn't work you'll have to uninstall FS9 and re-install
(which is what I had to do!) :0))

Might want to try deleting the BACKUP folder in the FS9 directory tree. If
that is still there, then FS thinks you still have FS9.1, even if you do
not. Can't remember if the uninstall deletes that or if you are supposed to
do it manually.

I think (been a long time since I read mine) that is also mentioned in the
9.1 readme.

Good point Paul - I'd forgotten about the Backup folder. Yes you are
supposed to delete that yourself. :0))
