unable to join mutiplayer game

After launched the game in AoC, it took me to the setting
up mutiplyer game screen, but I was unable to join the
game. Can someone help me solve this problem?

I was using AoL broadband before and it was fine, I just
switch to Verizon DSL and this problem occurred. I am
not on router and I am using window XP professional
edition
