Don't hear to much about the TG-16 in this group.Would like to hear from
people and compare notes on their favorite games.Mine are the Bonk
series which I am fortunate to own all three.I also
like Legendary Axe.I only own the 1st one.Neutopia is also another
favorite as is bomberman, and bomberman 93.I also like Air ZONK.My
collection is 34 games almost all complete wth boxes ,sleeves,
instructions, and plastic cases. Not all games came with all of them but i
bought all my games new, with a couple of exceptions like Military
Madness and Neutopia.Would be interested in hearing from Turbo Fans and
what their collections and favorite games are. Thanks Bruce

My favorite Turbografx-16 games are Keith Courage in Alpha Zones (yeah
I know.. but it was my first TG game and I'm fond of it), Devil's
Crush, Legendary Axe, Bonk, Final Lap Twin, Bloody Wolf, Pac-Land,
Galaga '90.

If you like the TG-16, you should do yourself a favor and get a PC
Engine. There were only a fraction of it's games released on it's
counterpart, the TG-16. The PC Engine "core" system is great, too
because it has built in A/V jacks.

I *love* Pac Land (the only home version?) and JB Harold Murder Club (for TG
CD). I couldn't put JB Harold down. (Very similar to Phoenix Wright, but
first and in some ways better.)

I agree. I own about 40 TG-16/TG-16 CD games, but I have about 200 PC
Engine games. Besides the obvious Castlevania - Dracula X on PCE CD,
there are plenty of shooters and arcade conversions that are totally
worth it.
On the TG 16 my favourites are Devil Crush, Rainbow Islands, Final
Match Tennis, Wonderboy, Soldier Blade, Legend of Hero Tonma,
Bomberman '94.
My favourite PCE is a white Japanese Duo system (plays both cards and
cd-roms).
Ciao,
Simone

Chew-Man-Fu. Puzzle game where you crush foes with wrecking
balls. Fear the mighty Chew.

Cratermaze. Another puzzler in a Bomberman style, but with a much
deeper single player game.

Ordyne. Port of arcade cute-em-up shooter. So charming, and such
delightful music.

I've bypassed Neutopia before, but now with my current obsession
with Zelda, I might just give it another chance.

I got my TG16 free from a radio station (CFNY) after filling out one of
those draw coupons at a computer show, where me and a friend were looking
for ST stuff. You know, the contests people never win anyway... Skill
testing question was probably "16". I was even slightly skeptical when I got
a call from the station a few days later, saying that my name had been
drawn, and that I could pick it up at the station. I begged my dad to let me
borrow the car for about 2 hrs, as back then they were located outside the
city. I told him why, and even he looked at me like I was an idiot. Whattaya
know, the secretary handed me a boxed TG16!
It came with the "man changing into a wolf" game (which should give you an
idea of how often I played that one). The next day, my brother and I went
and rented Splatterhouse, as that was supposed to be the greatest graphical
splendour of bloodbath, short of the arcade. I am surprised that this wasn't
the game that freaked out Tipper Gore. Anyways, that game grows old fast.
The Bonk series was the only one I ended up buying, after renting. I guess
my Nintendo is showing through, but damn that was a fun platformer. The only
mistake I made was buying Zonk. Bonk was more fun than the Sonic games, and
I loved all the Sonic 2D games too.

Yes I remember pac land.I had the game along with about 14 other titles
at the time but sold it to get a snes.A big mistake.Iwould love to have
that game back.A year or two later I bought a new tg-16 at toysrus for
19.99.Have been collecting ever since more games and back up systems I
also liked world court tennis. It was fun because it had an rpg element
to it.I do own a Turbo Express which my son gave me.It does not have the
adaptor plug though I still have 2 origonal boxes for the TG-16.ONE day
maybe I can get my hands on a TURBO DUO.Or if luckier a Supergraffx with
some games. If you own Bonk 3.Digit Press has it valued at I believe
$65.00 Of all my other game collections as of now ,The turbograffx 16
has the highest average per game selling used price. It barley beat out
my Saturn collection and I have just about all the hard to find or get
U.S. games. So hang on to your Turbo games.I really enjoy mine. And thanks
for everyones replies.
Bruce

I've been collecting TG 16 / PCEngine since 1996. I bought my first
PCE Core in Italy (I'm from there) back in 1992, then had a Duo, then
sold everything in '94 when I had to move to the US for grad school.
Started collecting PCE and TG 16 again in 1996. I spend 2/3 months in
Europe every year. Most videogame stores in both France and Italy (I
live close to the border with France) carry plenty of imports, and PCE
was all the rage back then. Here in the US I bought plenty of games
from NCSX.com, videogamedepot.com, stores in NYC and CT, and Ebay.
I own the white PCE, CD-ROM2, SuperCD-Rom, Core 1 and 2, Japanese Duo,
and two Supergraphx. On the TG 16 side I own two (one MIB) and a
Turboexpress.
Ciao,
Simone

I own all of them, including Darius + which shows some extra parallax
on the SuperGrafx. My favourite game is Super Ghouls'n'Ghosts. I keep
one Supergrafx in Europe as I have more time to play over the summer,
and one here in the US.
