Thanks. That gives me something to look at for product info, cost, etc.

One last question & then I'll probably just grab the first one I see at
Target or wherever.

With TRA, Stella mentions save games and that PC players better get used to
*not* being able to save whenever and however often they want to...

(And forget about saving in the manor while you *can* save on console?
Which sounds like a rant that I'm probably lucky to have missed.)

So any problems with "checkpoints" & "manual saves" ?

Stella mentions "I strongly recommend PC players do a manual save" at least
three or four times which has me inferring "checkpoints" or autosaves can
get corrupted or if you just want to go back or whatever?

thx

Thanks 4 links Jeff. (Here & at other post) Very impressive.

Although costumes for Lara? Whatever works I guess. Smile

autosave only saves last checkpoint, AFAIK you cannot get to any
random previous checkpoint,

manual save means named save at last checkpoint, i.e. whatever you
did since last checkpoint will not be saved,

however checkpoints are pretty much in every place you'd want to save
it manually so it's not as bad as it sounds. More like embarassing (for
developers).

There are a few autosave points in the manor that can be backed up and
restored in TRA. I have a set of savegames for TRA, that includes a save
with Croft manor almost done. Link to web page:

Bookmarked. Thanks again.

Guess that about does it until I get the game then.

Thanks everyone for your replies. And perhaps a special thanks to this
group for putting up with a shameless "off topic" now. Smile

[begin rant]

Me too...

What in the hell is this? I'm supposed to interact with a CUTSCENE?

Red "no" icon" appears on T-rex. Ohhh Kaaaay....

Then Lara is lunch. No "down, up up" keys & using the shift key or the
spacebar key or whatever walk-thru sez.

<sniggering>

This is the stupidest thing I've ever heard of!

They want you to play with an fmv? How dorky is that?!

TRA! We puts the VIDEO in video games! : 0 !

Please tell me this is a bug, and that I'm not supposed to watch for "icons"
in some stupid fmv.

Pleeeezzzz...

[end rant]

Thanks. As you can tell-- I've just alt+tabbed out of this endless loop in
order to vent. : \

thx

(much calmer now)

Still agree with Dick, but sorry about posting like this.

I guess you really *do* have to interact with a cartoon. *Dang* that was
hard & then *another* {explicative} cartoon....

<staggers off to bed to ponder "next gen" interactive cartoons>
