transferring music to 360

I burned some songs on to a dvd and put it in the 360 so I could transfer
them to the hard drive. It was able to see the files and play them which I
wasn't sure if it could, but it didn't give me the option to burn them to
the hard drive.

What do I need to do? Is it because they are on a dvd and not a cd?

I do know that if you have your computer and xbox hooked up to the
same network you can acess most of your music from your computer...
and movies
