You're thinking of Super Mario *Land*.
also the best Mario game is quite clearly Yoshi's Island. >> Stay informed about: Oh, on topic even! |

Damn, you are right.
World is for the SNES.

Yes, that is horrible. In the sequel which came out for the DS (btw it is
hugely inferior to the original game) they sped up the soundbite to make it
even more annoying, and also added more babies. Baby Peach has the worst
cry. >> Stay informed about: Oh, on topic even! |

You could, but it's a pretty expensive cart to get these days. It'd probably
almost be cheaper to buy a Game Boy Advance and the cart of the GBA port of
the game. >> Stay informed about: Oh, on topic even! |

Game Boy advance? That's the ugly one, right?

So no reason for me to buy a DS then? Though...I'd actually *love* to have one.

I'd recommend playing it on an emulator as well. But beware, for some reason there seem to be quite a
lot of bad ROM dumps out there for Yoshi's Island.

The DS is actually pretty awesome and has quite a few fun games, such as New
Super Mario Brothers and Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, as well as some
adventure-esque games (Phoenix Wright and Hotel Dusk being the best so far)
Also if you get a flashcard (which costs about the same as buying 1 game in
Europe) you can put loads of games on it and also homebrew stuff, even
ScummVM!
I have also posted to Aglami with my DS, but it was a slow process. >> Stay informed about: Oh, on topic even! |

The original GBA was pretty ugly, the SP was somewhat better. And then there
was the Micro which traded the ability to play original GB games for a
smaller size. >> Stay informed about: Oh, on topic even! |

To be specific, I was actually using Google Groups on the Opera internet
browser for the DS, which has a wireless speed about equivalent to 56k and
you "type" using the stylus on a virtual keyboard. Not great, but I guess
it'd do in an emergency if you happened to be around an open wireless
network. >> Stay informed about: Oh, on topic even! |
