Post subject: time to load the game

Hello,
I have every add on, and the last one "seasons" and I have a PC 1.6 GHz
with nvdia 6600 card and 768 Mo of memory and the game takes almost 10
minutes to load until the content of the download folder. is it normal ?
What about your computer and Sims 2 ?

I have all the EPs, 3.00Ghz, a radeon 9550, and 2Gb RAM. The game loads in
a minute without downloads, but in about 4 to 5 with my current folder -
about 1.5GB, I compressed it recently. That nearly halved the size but
didn''t seem to make a lot of difference to install time.

It takes up to five minutes to load on my computer.
How long the game takes to load depends on several things, how much memory you have, how
fast the HD is and how big your neighbourhoods are. >> Stay informed about: time to load the game |

Well, my computer is similar though I have more system memory but I think my
video card isn't as good. It takes about 4 minutes to load. The main thing
is going to be the size of your Downloads folder. What size is it?

My computer has a Pentium D Dual Core 2.66GHz processor, Radeon 9800 Pro
video card with 128MB RAM on it, 2 GB of RAM and 2GB in my Downloads folder
(after I used the compressor on it). It takes just under 3 minutes to load
my game, then another couple of minutes to load a neighborhood and less than
a minute to load each lot as I play them.

I have 3.61 GB in my download folder. I suppose that it's slow because
