Hmm. Well... the overriding meaning of 'current' automatically gravitates
to 'destiny' when there's a prophecy involved. Unless there's no actual
'fate', and it's just a complicated thingamajig that reveals itself nearish
the end (or maybe around the middle) to be completely the opposite
of/from/[whatever] the readers expected it to be...
