Post subject: system crashed nearly lost everything.
Archived from groups: alt>games>the-sims-2 (more info?)

Okay, to make a long story short I had to rebuilt my system when it locked
up re-installing XP.
After replacing the MB, CPU and up grading to 2 GIG of ram ended up the
video card was failing.
(Also if anyone has a Gigabyte AMD 64 Motherboard - change it. They seem to
have a problem accepting more
the 1.5 GIG or RAM. So if your windows or SIM2 is opening up slower than
normal that's the cause.)
Luckily I did move all my files to another drive before that happened, but I
lost a couple of programs
that I'd stored in the main drive.
I'm looking for a program to re-color some of the walls I have. So can
anyone direct me to a site
where I maybe able to download the program.

Another thing, just so you all know Sims family fun stuff is not 100%
compatible with OFB. I found that
out the hard way. Currently I'm going through a problem where the system
crashes but only when I try
to access the Buy option for a stereo.
Is there a program other than CleanInstaller that I can use to test the
packages?

Any help would be appreciated

This isn't a Gigabyte problem, some AMD boards don't accept 2GB RAM if
you use 2 1GB modules, some don't accept 2 GB if the modules are
double-sided.
