Was it one of the townie dorm students? I didn't think it was possible for
them to flunk out unless you had managed to move them in with someone and
get control of them. If you did, then you will likely find them in the sim
bin when you go back to the neighborhood and they will have the memory of
flunking out of college and will be glum about it. But they should also get
the standard $20,000 starting fund if you move them onto their own lot, or
just merge them in with a family already in residence.

I don't think that's possible. You'd have to remove your downloads folder
in order for the original painting to show up again. This is one good
reason to sort your downloads into subfolders. That way, you can remove
just the paintings and put them back a few at a time until you narrow it
down to the offending culprit that way. What's happened is that the creator
of the custom painting failed to change the GUID number and it's replaced
the original. Short of tracking down the offending file and removing it, I
think you are simply screwed. However, if you are talking about the
teleporter picture by Inge, there is also a teleporter shrub by the same
creator that does the same thing. You just have to put it in the yard
instead of in the house.

The only thing a hot tub is good for with a kid is that having one makes it
a bit easier for the family to impress the headmaster to get the kids into
private school. Otherwise, the kid is just exhibiting sim-mentality and
loving an expensive object. Likewise, they always sigh and groan when you
buy a potty chair, even though the only alternative to not having one is
having a toddler who messes his pants until he's old enough for school. :-/
