Sims 2 University installation - Hey, trying to install Uni on a friend's computer. Hangs on 67 or 68% like many others... I was able to install TS2 when it was hanging by doing something to the effect of copying the files from the disk and putting them in a new folder... now I can't..

heya
i just downloaded pirate cove from mod2sims for my jack sparrow
character. if you've seen this lot it's got mountainy terrian, i
wanted to get rid of some of that and delete the stairs that were on
the mountain. anyways i can't delete them, i've tried using the
moveobjects on and still won't let me. is there another in game thing
i can use or a download to get rid of the stairs?

They're most likely extendable stairs. Try deleting them from the bottom
upwards. You need to have the extendable stairs selected, then hold the Ctrl
key and keep clicking on the stairs, from the bottom up. If you still can't
do this and if you have Seasons you will also have the sledgehammer tool.
Select the sledgehammer tool and hammer away!

Wrong sort of stairs - there are two types and the second you can't grab
with move objects on. Try what Jeanie suggests.

hey thanks! i will try this in game later tonight. never even
thought of the sledgehammer...geez. sorry it took so long to

i'll give this a try as well. didn't realize you had to grab stairs
in different spots. i'm not much of a builder and when i am my houses
are all square, one story and no foundation...good thing i download
houses too..lol

Square one story houses can be very easy to play. Which is somethng I think
of when building for my sims. I like a few ancy ones to decorate the
neighbourhood - but the insides don't matter there.
