There are versions that have computer players (not from
www.dota-allstars.com, where you "should" download the map from), but
they aren't very good IMHO. I can beat 3 (normal) on 1, and it isn't too
hard to make me look like a noob on the web.
As for the rest of Warcraft 3, it is best that you get both the original
(RoC) and the Expansion (TFT). It is not just DoTa that makes Warcraft 3
a great game. I assure you that your money will not be wasted, once you
find a map (or map type) that you enjoy. Battle.net is by far the best
way to enjoy the multiplayer aspect.
