See if you can guess what inspired this idea for FM08 - being able to manage
the U21s. Forgive me if this is possible already (I don't think it is) but I
think it would be great if you could be approached by a national team
manager to run one of the younger squads. We already appoint people to do it
in Fm07 so why not give us the chance? You could be presented with a list
before you have to choose your squad of the players wanted for the senior
squad and then choose the U21s. It wouldn't be that different from running
the full squad would it? Something could be put in that if you are friends
with a manager they are more likely to offer you a job in their set-up (ie
if you are kind to Martin O'Neill and he takes over for Ireland he might ask
you to run the U21s) What do people think? I personally think it's a corking
idea!

You can sort of in FM07, if playing a network game. Many times Rich and I
have offered each other the chance of running the U21's once one of us has
been given the offer of International managment
I've never seen it in a single player game though, and surely it would add
to your reputation in game.
And yes I'm still alive, just had a lot of stuff going on recently, mainly
good

well, i suppose in a SP game you could start a game as national boss,
add another manager, offer 'yourself' the u21 post, then when you get
the job, retire the national first team manager.
might work.

For Edu-
Forgot to add, it's 'wedding bells'. And Hamish/Dave etc unless he has moved is
still in the very leeky part of Wales. That's west.
(But then for you Edu, anywhere upside of the equator is North from where you
are.)
