I am using the paradigm that when you 'k' something, you specify if you wish
to squelch everything dominated by it. So you could squelch a longbow(+8,+
and then the next longbow you identify as (+7,+2) would be squelched.
The question is whether squelching a longbow should also squelch shortbows,
and whether squelching heavy xbows should squelch light xbows. It is hard to
imagine keeping a (+9,+9) shortbow after squelching a (+9,+9) longbow. I can
imagine that some variant someday will outlaw dwarves using longbows, and the
weight of a heavy xbow might make a big enough difference to avoid it.
If this kind of squelching should be done, should it also be done for extra
might? I.e. should squelching heavy xbow (+9,+9) take out a light xbow of
extra might (+9,+9)?
Should I worry about esoteric cases, absolutely refusing to squelch lesser
items when they have less weight, or should I figure that the overwhelming
proportion of the time all anyone cares about is damage? I am only asking
about launchers. For melee weapons clearly weight is of critical importance
because it affects the number of blows.
