Im just adding thread to the inisible buildings post. Im finding more often
that I have to respawn until I dont roll my heavy into an overly close
building, or there's never enough room to turn and reverse thrust only works
on half my heavies. So what I usually do is spawn on a cargo ramp, which
takes the realism out of loading passengers which penalises you for reverse
thrust under 60 kts. I thought about disabling the penalty so I can reverse
my heavy but that takes realism out of it too. So back to loading my
passengers in the cargo ramp. Not that I care about this inconvenience to my
passengers, since they get feared at the first sign of turbulence. I forgot
to put the seatbelt sign on before my water landing tonight btw...fear
rating of 16%

There is a push-back command. Can't remember what the key-combo is, as I
have it allocated to a thumb hat on my throttle controller, but it's listed
in the key assignments page. Problem solved!

Hmm, you need to use the push-back option to reverse from buildings, afaik
reverse thrust is hardly ever used for backing up. The default key setting
for this is shift-p followed with a 1 or 2 key pressed for turning left or
right after travelling one length of the plane if nescessairy. Note that
these numbers are the ones above your qwerty or whatever keys, not the ones
on the numeric keypad.

Hope this helps...Wink)

Greetings from sunny Amsterdam,

Jan

Which plane? - I am trying to decide on the DF Baron "lite" and put the RXP 430/530 in it, or the Beech 200 X-treme! Does anyone have any real positive/negative comments on either one? Thx, Guy

what's the ugliest plane you've seen? - ok I was looking through a really old post in ubi-soft and the gannet or the a-12 won so far. I reckon personally, any of the Lun amphibious low altitude craft are by far the ugliest vehicles ever built...

Spotter plane view - Hi in FS2002 it was possible to set the spotter plane position to any angle relative to the aircraft centerline by dragging a pointer line round in the view options. For example you could have a view back along the fuslage just offset by a few..

osprey...eggbeater or plane? - ok...so what do we class the osprey as...folks on westcoastatc term it eggbeater, I fly it like a plane most of the time...or is it a VTOL aircraft...perhaps its some new category...its not fixed wing...perhaps broken wing airplane?

Sound versus display? - On runway, with engine running, the trees nearby are flickering. When I cut the engine, the flickering stops. So I assume there is a relationship between sound and display. I have AMD Athlon 64 3000+, Radeon X300SE 128MB PCIE. Sound is RealTek..
