Post subject: Looking for a source of Saturn & Genesis A/V connector plug
Archived from groups: alt>games>video>sega-saturn (more info?)

The other day I managed to pick up a rather beaten up Sega Saturn for 1 UK
Pound (less than 2 US dollars!) at a flea market. Only problem was it
looked dead and didn't have any leads with it. I brought it home, cleaned
it and lo and behold it works perfectly. I'm now looking for a source of
the a/v plugs so that I can make up a nice scart lead for it. Does anyone
have a source or part no. for these?

As an aside I managed to pick up these yesterday for 5 UK Pounds:-

Saturn:-

Sim City 2000
Street Fighter 2 Alpha
The King of Fighters '95
Scorcher
Shining Wisdom
World Soccer 97
Sega Rally Championship
Daytona USA Championship Circuit Edition
Firestorm Thunderhawk 2
Bubble Bobble Also featuring Rainbow Islands

MegaCD:-

Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective
FIFA Soccer Chmpionship Edition

Mega Drive (Genesis):-

Fifa Soccer 95 (Loose)
John Madden Football '92
Mega Games I
PGA Tour III

I've tried them all and despite a few scratches they all seem to work fine.
Just needed the usual cleaning on the Megadrive carts to get them working
fine.

Only problem is with the King of Fighters '95 which it says should have an
expansion cartridge with it - this is missing and I don't hold up much hope
of getting a replacement. No great loss as I have the NeoGeo MVS version of
this game for my arcade systems.

I always find it amazing what you can find if you keep your eyes peeled!

Cheers for now,

Keith.

Bad for to reply to my own post and all that but ...

I know that the Saturn and Genesis II have different plugs. I need the
Genesis one to make a scart adapter as without it in US/60HZ mode everything
is in black and white on a PAL display.

Any possible sources welcome.

Regards,

Keith.
