It is really choppy. I am using it on dapper drake. Is there a file
where I can turn the sound off? My computer is an old amd k6-2 350 mhz
processor with 194 mb of ram.

My first suggestion would be to try Vulture's Eye instead of Falcon's Eye.
Falcon's Eye is old, unmaintained and buggy, whereas Vulture's Eye is
using the newest NetHack core, and there was a new release just yesterday:

(Vulture's Eye is a fork of Falcon's Eye)

You might try changing your WM (window manager) to something less CPU
intense. You are probably using Gnome or KDE? fvwm2 or fvwm95 would
certainly improve performace.

In the game, click on the interface options button (the button with
the wrench), and disable options [b] play music and [c] play effects.
(I found the button in Vulture's Eye 2.1.1.)

Outside of the game, you could edit ~/.vultures/vultures.conf (or
whatever Falcon's called the equivalent file) so that it contains
play_music=1 and play_effects=1
