hmmm wouldnt it be nice for everyone to know this sort of stuff within
the game. After all, if you go to all the trouble and expense of
building a dd and equiping it with the latest sonar technology, it
would be nice to know how effective it actually is! I can just see the
defense minister being interviewed "Yeah we just spent 10 billion
acquiring some new dd's". Reporter; "How effective are they going to
be at detecting those pesky subs that keep sinking our ships?"
Minister "Well actually I've got no bloody idea... lets keep our
fingers crossed and just try them out and see what happens."
Perhaps "sb detect range" should be included in the show ship stats.
These types of things are some of the reasons why new players find it
so difficult to compete against the more experienced players on a level
playing field. Easy to point out the problems though!
