simPE and character files

I downloaded the new version of simPE and am doing a project where I
wantd to make a couple of Sims shorter so I opened simPE and then opened
the character files to the sim I wanted but nothing comes up in the plug
in view...also tried accessing by opening the neighborhood, going
directly to the sim, going to other to acces the character file and it
wouldn't open from there either...tired several sims to see if it was
just that one partucular one but it doesn't work for any of
them...anyone ahve any thoughts?

Uh - no thoughts particularly. I don't yet have FT so haven't got the new
SimPE yet. Oh, unless you turned off the 'see preview pane' setting
(accidentally), maybe? There is a setting for that somewhere.
