It's a rip off and will wreck your game, from what I've heard. I'll not
be buying it.

Buy a computer with the strongest CPU you can afford, with as much RAM
as you can afford, with as large a HD as you can afford (or, better yet
two hard drives -- one to use for backing up My Documents, which is
where all the game files go), and with a high quality video card with at
least 128Mb RAM on it. That's my best advice for you.

I didn't buy the Family Fun pack, I think it's a rip off, and people
are having problems with it already;
as for a computer to run Sims 2, I have a Pentium 4 2.8 GHz
processor, 1 gig of ram, an ATI 9600Pro video card, 80gig hard drive,
and the game runs *fair*, my dowload folder is about 550MB and
that's not a lot for this game, so you probably need a computer with
higher specs than mine.

Mine is a Dell Dimension 8200, P4, 2.00 Ghz, one 300GB and one 40GB HD
(the smaller one was the original and I use it for backups), 768MB
RDRAM, with an ATI Radeon 9800 PRO video card. It runs the game quite
well with great graphics. I'm a little limited on lot size, especially
for commercial lots with lots of sims milling around, but I like to play
with smaller lots anyway, so I can keep track of everybody without so
much scrolling around.

I love the bigger lots but hardly play them, they get so laggy I've
read that even people with 3+GHz processors get the lag on big lots,
it's a great game but I want to be able to play it with *all* the bells
and whistles:-( I noticed a *huge* improvement on the graphics though
when I updated my driver, I could hardly believe the difference, ).
