Old Skool method:
Bring down console and type in 'STAT FPS' (no quotes). To get rid of
it, type in 'STAT NONE'. >> Stay informed about: show frame rate |

It's directly in one of the menus. I've selected it so many times I
don't remember the text labels but it's one of the middle menus.
After each can game you get statistics on fps in the console and fps is
shown during play.
Kind regards

Play with stat all. It's amazing at all the things going on in the

The only reason I remember is because it still works with UT2004. In
fact, it's the *only* method for UT2004.... there is no neat menu
option like in UT99. >> Stay informed about: show frame rate |

Depends on what you're tying to do. To simply show the *current*
framerate, the solutions already suggested is what you want. If you
want to benchmark, then your solution is correct. It will run a
pre-recorded demo at the fastest rate your rig is capable of and then
show an average framerate at the end. >> Stay informed about: show frame rate |

Remember when getting 30 fps was heavy stuff with UT99? Stock Wal-Mart rigs
can probably run mid 70 with no card now. How times change.
Anyone up for an Unreal co-op this weekend for old time fun? I have had a
blast playing it again. >> Stay informed about: show frame rate |

Unless i have a strange mod installed my way definately works. I get a
small current and average frame rate halfway up the right side of my screen.
But thinking about it should i not get current fps while running the demo
then average at the end??
All confused now

Me thinks you only get stats at the end if stats was on all the time in
the map. So stats on and then load a level/demo and afterwards see the
average in the console.
I shall check later to make sure.

I still play the GOTY version of UT, even though I have UT2004 as
well. I sort of rotate between those, and Quake 1, II, and III when
one of my gaming buddies comes by for a fragging lesson .. ha ha!
However, whenever I go online, I usually get my butt handed to me.
Still enjoy it though ... even fire up Duke Nukem once in a while for
a real burst of nostalgia!
