Note: Not an anticheat guru.
I *think* most of them now either support linux, or just plain don't
check linux clients. UTDC (installable package checker) just ignores
linux and mac clients, even if it's command of the english language is dire:
[UTDC] Player: 11 is not being checked because of uncompatible OS
"Me fail English? That's unpossible!"

Pure is not compatible with Monsterhunt either, and on some normal
gametypes featuring monsters. CTF-Skytitans, MH-Assassination and some
other maps that do strange things often result in players being kicked
for "BadLighting" because Pure doesn't understand about the monsters.
Simple workaround: Don't use Pure. IIRC, UTDC doesn't have these issues,
but misses some things that Pure catches.
CSHP is obsolute btw. Pure took over a couple of years ago.
Anthchecker is another current package checker with some nice features.
It's that one that can be configured to tell the players on the server
what OS/renderer you are using when you join.
In ALL cases, admin presence and a moderate sense of paranoia is your
best defence against cheaters of any flavour. You might consider joining
the anticheat cluster if you can fulfil their requirements (I forget
what they are atm - #anticheat on quakenet)
