Damn. I thought I had separated out one large fang from a stack of four,
set up the auction for single fang price, and I am almost literally kicking
myself.

Sometimes when it looks like someone set up something at a stupidly low
price, it's not because they're n00bs, it's because they're stupidly tired.

Damn.

Damn.

So, cancel the auction, eat the deposit, and relist them?

That's what I did, but I was still mad at myself. And I almost didn't think
to cancel the auction.

Here's the easy way to get an Alliance alt to Booty Bay.

Run south-east to the zone that's all crop fields and mechanical
harvesters, can't remember the name, follow the road south then turn
west till you aggro a mob and die. Corpse run all the way to the
coast, over the water to the south, till you get near Booty Bay. Run
out to sea into the dark blue area, you will get the "fatigue" bar and
die again. Rez at the spirit healer outside the tunnel into Booty Bay
and run in. If you care about durability, make sure you aren't too far
into the dark blue when you die, and corpse run out to the deep water,
rez, swim back into the BB harbour and up the wooden ramp in the
middle.

Horde can, I think, ghost-run onto the boat and they will auto-rez on
the boat when the zone changes.

Could someone tell me how to separate one item from a stack of 10?

One time, back when Nexus Crystals were 70g each, I accidentally sold one
for 70s...kicked myself for that one.

Oh no! I can see why! Mine was not so drastic an error--just 3g or so--but
I'm not that wealthy, yet, gamewise, and 3g is a lot to me!

I was most chagrined over the fact that I forgot I could cancel auctions,
flew to Duskwood from BB, then had a Doh! moment and flew back before anyone
bought them. (I had put up two for auction earlier in the evening, and they
sold almost immediately.)

This is one reason I found it useful to have a bank alt. Let them handle
all the AH business while my main is out in the world questing. There
have been a couple of times where I forgot to do something at the AH,
but it was simply a matter of logging out and logging back as the banker
alt.

I have a bank alt in Stormwind, but this looked like an item that was more
apt to sell to Horde, so I used my main alt there. I see the need to
create yet another bank alt for neutral auction sites.

I accidently sold an epic once for 90s instead of 90g so you arent alone. I
would have been angry if getting angry over a video game wasn't absurd.

That trick of corpse running to BB then running out into the ocean and dying
of fatigue, while already dead...damn good idea. Wish I'd thought of that
when I was trying to get a lvl 2 BE to booty bay. I tried corpse-running
from nesingway's and spirit rezzing outside bb. nope, it rezzed me at
nesingway and being L2, I couldn't go more than 5 steps in stv without every
mob in the zone coming to squish me. It took a long time to get within range
of my ghost popping up at booty bay GY.

Another easy way for horde to get to BB is simply take the boat at Ratchet.

Heh, I don't think it's absurd, people put a lot of time into the game.

OT: I haven't done anything silly in WoW yet in terms of trading but in
D2 last year I found a Jewelers Sacred Targe of Deflecting with 41 base
resist all. I suspected it was valuable since I'd heard of JMODs but
after asking a friend to get price checks some guy contacted me and said
it was only really nice as a collectors item (very rare). I stupidly
sold it for a piddly single rune worth 20 jsp forum gold at the time. I
later discovered him offering the shield and the highest offer was about
2500 forum gold.

Yep, 'cept blood elves would have a long, long run from the Org zeppelin,
thru durotar, thru the barrens, to ratchet. I opted to take the teleporter
to UC, then zeppelin to grom'gol.

Don't go through the Barrens. Go south out of Org to Razor Hill, keep going
south a little bit and watch for the break in the hill to the right that
goes in the orc/troll starting area. Go inside, stay left of the NPC's, and
locate the "hidden path" that the shaman use to get to their first altar
(the one of stone). Along that path is a cliff dropping into Ratchet Bay.
There are teen lobsters in the water. Drop into the water and start to swim
across the bay. The lobsters will 1-shot you and you rez in the Ratchet
cemetary, where it's a short walk to the boat.

I just did this last week, my second time. I do later run to Crossroads
from Ratchet after getting the Booty Bay and Ratchet flight points, and
then run to Thunderbluff, to complete the 3-city circuit. With an escort at
level 5, I've also made the run down to the Great Lift, to get the flight
point at Freewind Post (Thousand Needles) and Gadgetzan. The only really
risky part is just south of Freewind, where the hyenas get a bit close to
the road. (I did the run on my belf mule with my 40 Alliance rogue guildie
escorting. How many people run their mules on a PvP server with the
opposite faction escorting? Wink)

I find Gadget more convenient than BB because I don't have to wait for a
boat. I can just put my mule on the bird and go read
email/forums/newsgroups until she lands.
