Tried installing the patch from the support site but get Access Error.
Figured this was because the patch only works for the US version. Does
anyone have the patch for the UK/Australian version or know of a way to get
it to work on XP.

Thanks

Personally I've had no problems running it on XP, my only problem
occured when I tried to use a No-CD patch with both expansion packs.
Maybe it's just one of those 'Windows' things, maybe you don't have the
latest driver for something, or maybe you have a driver that is too new.
Not sure what else to suggest, sorry...

I've found no definitive answer, to the issue, but it appears that only the
US version of the original product has a patch allowing it to run on Windows
2000/XP. It also appears that subsequent (post 1999) releases and expansion
packs already contain the patch required to allow it to run in these
versions of Windows.

It is curious that the "Best of Atari" series of RollerCoaster Tycoon still
has only Windows 95/98 as required OS written on the box. The website entry
for this product doesn't give this kind of detail, the downloadable demo
works on Windows XP SP2, except for the exception on exit. Is it worth $9.95
to find out?

Cheers,
Tim
