Is there a GHETTO game? - I want a sim city type game where you can have a ghetto. I want crack houses, whore houses, pimps, gangs, pregnant welfare queens, thieves, liquor stores, etc. I think it'd be a lot of fun.

Some problems with the game config - I'd like to know whether it is possible to stop SC4:RH from putting its configs saved cities) from the "My folder. I wish to separate my disk and its action is simply utterly annoying.

Hi all,

I have had a registered copy of SimCity 4 & Rush Hour for many months,
with it running properly on my XP computer with all the necessary hardware.

Recently the game would not start for reasons I can not find. During
the start process, the bridge appears, then disappears. The CD is
accessed for a few seconds, but the splash screen does not appear.
After several seconds of hard drive activity all dies with no further
response. I have a CD-RW & DVD drive. Both work, but not with SimCity.

I have uninstalled / reinstalled the game twice, with no change. The
game appears to install properly.

I have installed the game on a laptop where it works as it should, so
the CD appears OK, although it does have some minor scratches.

I have compared the registry entries for both computers and they are the
same.

I have not been able to find where to contact Technical Support for help.

Any thoughts on how to solve this problem?

Fred

Did it just stop randomly or did you do something, eg get an update for SC4
or windows? Or did you install another program? etc.

Do you have XP and did you download SP2?

Best wishes

Thanks for the replies. The game seemed to stop opening suddenly and
randomly. XP had not downloaded SP2 when it failed over a month ago. I
have Norton System Works, with AV, and suspect an update to it may be a
factor at the time of failure.

Does anyone have the Technical Support e-mail address?

Regards, Fred

The problem has been solved by Technical Support. It appears that a
file was corrupt, requiring manual removal of all games traces. Then
reinstall.
