How to run two copies of Diablo 2 in single Mac

Hello,

I have been running two copies of LOD on PC many years by using
modified d2gfx.dll. Now I changed to Mac and have purchased a Mac copy
of CDs. Now I have two installation of LOD with separate keys, same I
used with PC. Mac has Leopard and both installations work alone, but
when opening them at the same time I got error saying something like
"You have Diablo already running in this computer".

What I would like to do is to run both LODs simultaneously windowed in
same screen (as I did with PC and modified d2gfx.dll). Anyone done
this and could help me?

Haven't tried it as I run a PC, but the only way I can think of doing
this is with some sort of virtualization software. (eg. parallels or vmware)
