In a way it is, and in a way it isn't. Re remake for the game cube was the
first RE title for the cube, but it is still as posted by Tsugumi Niyamoto,
different that RE1 on the Playstation. So if your brother wants a copy of
RE remake also, he will not be getting RE1 the PS1 game for the cube, it's
way different except for the story (you still play Chris or Jill, but the
zombies and dogs are tougher, and as mentioned, dead zombies turn to crimson
heads unless you burn them or IIRC, head shoot them. A different touch is
the desperation defense knife you can find for panic close combat. ^_^

It far surpasses dullness to the extend it crossed that line long ago -
and is so far past it, the line isn't even a dot in the distance!
.... I played Gaiden up to the part where you get a radio call or
something from Barry/Leon, and that bad-guy-thing is attacking a, girl?
After that I gave up and went back to SNES games, or a Lufia game for
Gameboy advanced - can't really remember.

Ritual Suicide is a cut above that ^_^
Gaiden is bloody awful, you played further than I did by the sound of
it.
It was the only GB game I ever bought, my EX gave me her old GB plus
Pokemon Red.
When I saw how the game played, I was mightily cheesed off.
It put me off hand held gaming for ages...
