Hello, if there's really anyone out there besides the MI-five spammer.

I have never visited here before, but I built up and partly painted a
collection of miniatures in the '80s that I have lugged around through
several residences where I have not had the room to unpack them and
set up a space for primer-painting them and spreading out painting
stands.

I am preparing to move again, and it is just time to cut loose from as
many of the old possessions as possible, so I want to sell or donate
these.

Does anybody have any idea where I could find a club or organization
in North Carolina (or southern Virginia or eastern Tennessee, or maybe
even N. Georgia or NW S. Carolina) that I could donate these to?

Here are descriptions and photographs of what I am offering:

http://winstonsalem.craigslist.org/tag/547053077.html

I just want to get rid of these, but I really cannot bear to just
throw them away.

Thanks,
-Richard

The answer to your question is "no, not really" as the old days where
we used to see huge amounts of posts daily are long gone - killed off
by the interest specific Yahoo groups I think... no need to filter
through a load of messages anymore when you can belong to a Yahoo
group that covers off your specific interest.

Anyway - to find a club as per your last question I'd try the Wargames
Clubs Yahoo group..

Steve RGHM died a slow death about five or so years ago. Then this
wacko who keeps posting silly stuff showed up and it was the end of
days!

Contact me directly and I can put you in touch with TSS one of the
largest and oldest historical gaming clubs in the Carolinas. Also have
you checked on TMP?
