The all time winner, and the last time I've been connected to general since
BC went live was ... (drumroll) ... "What mob drops spore bat eyes?".

For the record, I read every single word of every quest. It makes 'kill x
wombles' quests so much more interesting when you know WHY. Plus, they're
incredibly well written. *

Lol Very Happy Yeah that's the best yet... though I've seen a few dumb ones on my
server, turned general off on my main in the end and felt like flaming some
of the less intelligent of my guildmates who'd ask every single little
thing - it's not that hard to, just maybe, read the quest Wink

And yeah, I've messed up a couple of quests by not reading properly, but I
don't ask to be spoonfed every little bit of info that I could work out for
myself if I tried....

LMAO. I agree, that has to be the winner. Or maybe loser would be the proper
term Smile

There is also the joy gained from reading the papers etc. associated
with the quest. E.g. the scraps of paper you find in the Legend of
Stavlan ally quest, where the young teacher is driven gradually into
madness by jealousy.

TBC also add some NPC stories that are worth listening to, they appear
as conversation choices with the NPCs.

And sometimes just unexpected details. I got to the portal early for a
Durnholde run (which takes place in Hillsbrad several years in the
past), and rode around the zone finding NPCs like Mograine, Kel'thulzad
himself, and a certain horse named "Young Blanchy". If you have time,
make sure to stop in the southshore inn and watch the nerdy paladin
meeting, and dip a pole in the water with Nat Pagle.

Very odd instance - it feels more like an extended quest chain than an
actual instance run. *
