Had lots of problems with my pc these days (my PSU, my UPS and my router all
died within a few days of each other... so no pc, no power to supply power
and... no internet for two weeks for me), that's the main reasons why I
reply with such a delay...
Well, just checking to see how everybody is doing these days... the ng seems
pretty much deader than a dead deathfish...
Anyone tried Hour of Victory? Very similar to Commandos Strike Force... have
it around somewhere, I'll be checking it in the days to come... I hope...

I liked him as well, this was the way the history (?) teacher was asking his
pupils all the time whether they knew the answer (I mean the "Anyone,
anyone, anyone?").
Do You mean that at the end something happened that made You like him less?
The best scene I recall is not with Ferris himself, it is when his sister
stumbles upon the school's principal in the house and kicks him in the face.
Not the kicking itself but the way she was filmed when she got startled by
him. And remember the way he was lying in bed when his mother came to check
if he was OK, that was very funny as well. I think this movie should be
shown on television again soon, it is such a long time ago I saw it... Very
OT but hey, at least there is something going on in this group this way .
I am sorry that so many devices of Yours died, a pity but fortunately You
are back online again!
Take care!
Yours sincerely,

I'm sorry to hear that. Hope it didn't cost you too much to fix
I still only know the xbox version of HoV. Is that what you're
playing?
I'm playing Faces of War ("sequel" to Soldiers:HoWW2) now. And Sudden
Strike 3 will be next.

I only know some of Clarke's work.
"There is a message for you, Dave" sounds like Red Dwarf to me.

It depends on which Ferris Bueller you refer to... there is Ferris Bueller's
Day off
with Matthew Broderick and there is the TV show... honestly I liked him less
when he "forced" Cameron to destroy his father's car (the meter not working
going backwards, the car ending up in the pool), thus indeed ruining
Cameron's life...
then again, he (Cameron) accepted it as fate.
The best scene for me is in the way he fooled his parents (his mother) and
getting away out of home
(the plastic doll that is suposedly him, filled with air)... there are
indeed many memorable scenes...

Sure thing... I haven't seen a post here in ages... so few news about
Commandos in general... alot of people I guess have moved on to other -and
surely better- games.

Yup... I am back and in a month or so I will be cruising the internet with
24Mbps speed... it surely beats the 2Mbps I have now...

I did enjoy Red Dwarf (had the best inside jokes ever), but Clarke's work is
on the top of my mind (and shelves)... especially his quadrilogy about 2001
(the books being 2001, 2010, 2061 and 3001) is the best science fiction I
have read in ages...
He is among many others one of the best... I can always post here my best 10
sci-fi authors, if you are interested, and my preferable work of them.

2 cans of compressed air Value: 16 Euros
Paraphernalia of cleaning the computer Value: 10 Euros
Cleaning the PC Value: Priceless
Still hearing noises from the PSU Value: Nerve wracking
New PSU Value: 35 Euros
Switching the old PSU with the new one Value: Priceless
Letting the UPS fix itself Value: Priceless
Getting new router Value: 40 Euros
Figuring out that the old router is cake Value: Priceless
Exchanging the old router for a new one (guarantee) Value: FREE
Having a working PC, a working UPS and a working internet Link Value:
PRICELESS
So, at the end, after fixing everything, I also learned alot under the

There is a PC version of the game I am planning to download in the next few
days and play (a version I haven't seen in stores around yet). Since we are
not encouraging piracy games here, you can always e-mail me and I can send
you (or anyone who asks for it) the links for the game (its rapidshare, so
easier and faster to download)
> I'm playing Faces of War ("sequel" to Soldiers:HoWW2) now.
I am currently playing The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay
and replaying CoD 4... I am planning to continue Company of Heroes and its
sequel, Opposing Fronts. What do you mean by "sequel'?
Cheers,
