| Quake 4 - I just got the game and I just got outside and I meet this Russian dud who said that way and so I go throw these two red doors and it say exit but I can't continue. I need to get the book on this game but I'm stuck right now. Anyone know what I should.

| huge problem:
i got quake 1 version 1.09 and i played and played untill i got 3 runes, but suddenly i all lost them for no reason, so now i have to restart all over again. Can i get the runes back with a cheat or something? the only level i still need to play is the end level, the one with shub niggurath. Can i unlock this level maybe? i don't want to start all over again :s

impulse
Type: Function
Syntax: impulse (number)
Description: Pass an impulse to the server to perform a game
function.
Note: It is necessary to use impulses in order for the client to
communicate with the server. The impulse command is passed to the
server and the server executes the desired function assigned to an
impulse. There is a maximum of 255 impulses available. The idea
behind impulses was to allow mod authors to let the player perform
some special new functions for a mod and not have to intoduce any
new commands into the game's console. Also, the number keys which
select the weapons all have impulse commands bound to them to
allow the player to switch weapons.
Example: impulse 7
List:
1 - Select Axe.
2 - Select Shotgun.
3 - Select Super Shotgun.
4 - Select Nailgun.
5 - Select Super Nailgun.
6 - Select Grenade Launcher.
7 - Select Rocket Launcher.
8 - Select ThunderBolt.
9 - Give all weapons and ammo cheat.
10 - Select the next weapon.
11 - Give rune cheat.
12 - Select the previoius weapon.

graeme gave the impulse command for weapons, etc; to load a specific
level enter:
map "levelName"
example:
map end
(end is the shub niggurath level)
the levels are start, e1m1-8, e2m1-8, e3m1-8, e3m1-8, end (I think - I
don't exactly remember)

Better is "changelevel" - which doesn't erase weapons, ammo and runes
upon a level load.
