If I'm not mistaken, this fall MS is releasing a disk of LIVE arcade games
for 360 owners who don't have a LIVE account. I'd imagine that you will
only be able to play these games in single-player mode, however, so if you
want to play these games online, you need a GOLD membership. Silver only
lets you create a profile, download trailers and game content, and send
messages...it won't let you play mutliplayer games online.

I just bought my 360 and will be getting online with it this football
season. Can I get online with the EA servers and play NCAA Football 07 and
Madden with Silver?

No. For free on-line play you need a PC or a PS/2.
