Why not let him start a new char, and show him the way to go yourself?

I was hoping to avoid the long exp trek.. to help get him to be able to join
us without weeks of powerleveling ect..

So figured if there was someone who didnt care to play anymore.. might as
well take over an account in progress so to speak..

If he's a new player who's never played before, you'd not be doing him
any real favors by dropping him right into a high-level character in
complex party situations against high-level mobs... and he'd miss all
the fun of learning for himself from the start. Think about it- how would
you like to have missed 90% of the fun of the game, and just been
dumped right into the last part of it with a full-blown character you
didn't know squat about how to play? It may sound like a fun idea for an
NFL quarterback to put his 15-year-old son into the superbowl as a halfback
playing behind him, but as soon as the ball is snapped, that's another
story.

Agreed with above poster. I have bought an account before, only to
have it recovered by the original owner and screw me out of a few
hundred dollars. Don't do it, for your own sake.

Blizzard do not allow or recognise account transfers. The original
owner will be held responsible for the account at all times and will
be able to reclaim it at any time.
