I have two friends that have each bought the 505 version of ArmA, as did
I, one of them is new to the OFP community, one is Got_Milk, whom I have
played with on OFP for a quite a few years. My game installed just
great. And, yes for the trolls, they are all legit copies, bought and
paid for.
Both are having a similar issue with the game installing from the disc
to 1.04, but when trying to apply either patch, they are getting varying
file problems that are requiring them to uninstall and reinstall the game.
Errors that they both seem to get are that a certain file (changes which
file it is with each patch run) is invalid and the game needs to be
reinstalled. Got_Milk wants to play the game, but is really getting
irritated. Anyone have any ideas?

with AC'97 soundcards, and DVD region settings. I would appreciate any
assitance.

Have they the right update, I believe there was a euro 1.04/5 update and an
international . 1.0X/5.

They have tried each, with no luck. Got_Milk tried with the Euro 3
