This one should be more obvious! When I quit a flight (to the 'Create
a Flight' screen), and then try to load another by clicking on a
shortcut to one of my .flt files, the opening FS9 screen appears, but
I get a warning message saying "Flight Simulator is attemting to
launcha flight. You must first exit Flight Plan mode before launching
a flight.' I click 'OK' and I'm left with the 'Create a Flight' screen
again....

Meaning? How do I exit any further than I already have, short of
quitting and restarting FS entirely. How do I 'exit the Flight plan
Mode', whatever that may be?

Thanks,

M.

When you say "clicking on a short cut to one of my .flt files" what exactly
do you mean? If I was loading a saved flight I would go to "Select A Flight"
followed by the Saved Flights menu and select one from there. From your
wording it seems you might be doing something different? :~)

In effect it's the same thing. I have a folder of shortcuts to all my
saved flights in my Quick Launch toolbar. Clicking on the shortcut
launches FS9 then the flight directly, with just one click of the
mouse.
