I bought FFS for my daughter, for her birthday, but warned her not to
install it until decent (proper) patches are released, because of the major
glitches. She had recently reformatted her hard drive, and not yet
installed TS2, so she decided to try FFS with just the base game. We got it
all set up, patches included, and she was instantly addicted, and had no
problems. Sooo, I bought myself the final copy that EB had in Winnipeg, and
committed custom-content suicide. Even with all patches in place, a lot of
meshes were eaten. I had those large flowery shrubs, that need no gardener,
and they all changed to blue flashing lights on all of the lots that I had
them on. I had to delete them in order to prevent a seizure, but when I
went into build mode, all of my custom garden and landscape stuff was gone.
Even landscape grasses, floor tiles, etc., all gone. Some of my lots now
have white squares on them for land cover; white squares with error messages
on them! Custom doors and windows are gone. Computer recolours never did
show up, but the phone recolours are now there. Frig, can't EA/Maxis do
simething (pun intended) correctly before release date, or at least delay a
release in order to fix?

Still no sign of any of my Potter Simizens, and all of the related career
rewards and the car are now gone. I am almost tempted to do a complete
uninstall and start from scratch, too, but without the format.
