Interesting, what happend ? You posting in a vgap3 group ?

Fleet battles in vgap3 are not that popular these days. There are two
different solutions available at the moment, either TKF or TVCR2 and a
3rd one is under development. Games with tkf and tvcr2 addons in use
can be found at http://www.rcworld.de .

Well I posted my share here in the far past.
Well I was talking with an old vgap 3 player and we were wondering what
a v3 game with fleet combat would be like (as we both play V4 now with
fleet combat), the fighter race are more powerful than the torp race,
but with fleet combat in V3 it would help balancing, and make VCR
combat alot more fun to watch, no more long chain of 1-1.

I'm very surprise to see it not the standard game (fleet combat) I
don't mind TKF or TVCR2 or a new one.

I'm sure game will be shorter with fleet combat too, more decisive
battle.

Let us know when a new V3 fleet combat game is created, we might join.

I'm reading a bit at old Donavan site, since I did not play V3 for the
last 6-7 years, but played about 6 years in a row back in 1993.

That's not a real surprise if you look more closely: the fleet combat
add-ons are both shareware (i.e. you have to pay for the privilege of
watching your battles), undocumented (haven't found a formulas document
so far) and fragile (TKF crashes when I try to simulate, TVCR2 doesn't
even start up).

Okay, as a v4 player you might be used to all of that :-> But neither of
that contributes to making such a thing "standard".
