Post subject: how can I play Team Fortress again?
Archived from groups: alt>games>half-life, others (more info?)

I used to play team fortress a few years ago - but eventually stopped. So
years later, new computer, and I want to play TFC again.

I recently installed HL2 - Episode 1 - and got Steam (which made me think
about TFC) - but the question is how do I play TFC today?

I re-installed Half-Life, applied the 1.1.1.0 patch.

When I start Steam and select a TFC map - Steam dos not see my TFC and takes
me to a screen to buy TFC.

TFC won't play natively - it needs Steam.

I am in a catch 22.

Help!!!

Uninstall half-life and then start Steam. At the Store tab, at the
bottom, there's an "Activate a product on Steam..." link, click it and
then enter in your HL1 cd key. That should give you access to just
about everything HL1 related. You have to download everything.
