| I am trying to decide on the DF Baron "lite" and put the RXP 430/530 in it,
or the Beech 200 X-treme!
Does anyone have any real positive/negative comments on either one?
Thx,
Guy

Yeah, I'm the perfect guy to ask... I have them both and added the RXP 430
and Sandel to the Baron.
I also added the GNS430 to the B-200 and had to undo that because it trashed
my frame rates.
Here's the 10 second review:
The DF Baron (and the Bonanza) are very likely the best GA add-ons ever
made. The Baron is totally complete and flawless in every way from great
flight dynamics, eye candy, and cockpit ergonomics.
The Aeroworx King Air is also a stunning piece of work. The B-200 just begs
for screenshots because it's a remarkable looking model (even better than
the Baron). The cockpit is nearly 100% functional and B-200 pilots who hang
around the Aeroworx forum say that if you can set up and run the simulated
King Air, you could step into the real thing and do the same.
For all practical purposes it's a tie. The B-200 has a couple of tiny warts
like Henning's GPS is funky, it's hard on frame rates and I find the flight
dynamics a bit loose on the pitch axis. But, it also beats the Baron in
looks and an uncanny subjective "real feel". I love it.
You are in the enviable position of making a decision that will be a good
one no matter which one you pick.
Everything in life should be so easy.

Be aware that the RXP software only work in 32-bit environment. >> Stay informed about: Which plane? |

If you have a mid/low end system get the DF Baron - runs on my 5yr old PC
no problem.
I also have the Aeroworx B200 - lovely aircraft, but needs a fast PC to
run.

Thank Dallas!
Kinda figured you might have both. I remember you liking the Baron, but
couldn't find the thread.
I downloaded the B200 and am really impressed. Really nice package.
Guess I will pop for the Baron next !!
Thanks for the input,

Thank for all the replys.
I am running a P4 3.0, 1 Gig of Geil 3500 on a MSI 865PE Neo2.
Video is ATI OEM 9800 pro/128.
Guess I will need to deal with the 64 bit problems next year
