Is it just me, or have all Sims lost the ability to look after themselves
properly? I've noticed that most of my sims will just stand around, and
choose to do things that fulfill absolutely nothing. I have one sim woman
who does nothing but look out windows and view artwork, and I have another
who wants to do nothing but play chess. Yet another likes to sit down for
several hours at a time. What makes absolutely no sense about this is, the
needs they are trying to "satisfy" (at least I guess that's why they do what
they do) is already full. The end result of this is, most of my sims will
let their hunger and bladder get in the very deep red, complain about it, do
something stupid (sit down, play chess, pillow fight, play red hands, take
out the garbage, etc.), complain about it some more, continue to do stupid
things (i.e., NOT go to the toilet or cook food), then eventually piss
themselves or starve. Wtf? I'm get'n tired of this nonsense. What did OFB do
to The Sims 2? >> Stay informed about: My Sims are pissing themselves! |

Sounds like you have a hack that's screwing things up. I don't have
this problem at all.
It would be interesting for you to report back and tell us what you
eventually find out is doing this, so that we can all avoid it. And
there was a link to a list on this group recently of third-party hacks
that do--and don't--work with OFB. You might want to find that posting
and follow the link. (Don't remember where I saw it now or I'd help you.)
I *do* notice, though, that when you install a new EP and it "resets"
your sims when you first go into a home, all their needs are fully green
EXCEPT bladder, which is always halfway down. That's odd.....

Nah, the only hack I have is the one to fix the bug with University where
sims go to take their final exam, but no matter what, when they come back
you get a message saying they missed their final exam. OFB re-instated this
bug, in case you didn't know, but yeah . . . it's back. Other than that,
there's no reason for this. I have seen odd sim behavior before, but it only
seems to be affecting this one household I've been playing lately. It's
almost as if they have carbon monoxide poisoning, they're all acting like
total fools. Before I installed OFB, the grocery delivery truck was stuck
out on their road for weeks on end, so they couldn't order groceries. After
installing OFB, that fixed the so-called "portal bug", but ever since then
it seems they've all gone postal.

I've noticed this too in OFB when playing the University neighbourhood that
my students need prompting more to eat, shower and go to the loo. (Free Will
On too).
This is in a new neighbourhood that I am creating.
I'm experimenting. I've used all the Maxis available students from the
University "Send to university" screen and am aiming to get them through Uni
and into the new neighbourhood without using the main neighbourhood first.
I want to know if going to university gives them an advantage!
I haven't got any hacks either...yet.

Absolutely sure. I haven't downloaded any houses or hacks and the game is
absolutely "mint".
They act less on their own initiative than before.

Mine don't.
Not yet, at least. (Fingers crossed.)
