I use a similar one, works great in BGs and Kara raids, didn't try
arena with it.

My Holy Paladin uses that exact same spec. When he first respecced
Holy, it was 48/13, or something like that, then I respecced to get
things like Stoicism.

Just out of curiosity, do you find that talents like Stoicism or
Unyielding Faith actually help you? Since I respecced my Paladin, I've
done enough BGs to get the entire S1 set, all of the Vindicator gear
(ring, ammy, boots, belt, bracers), both Gavels, the shield, and a
Battlemaster trinket. In all that time I honestly don't recall ever
resisting a fear or stun.

Granted I don't keep a scrolling combat log active on my screen, so I
really can't say whether I've resisted anything or not. I just know
that I have noticed no difference at all from my previous 48/13 build
to my current, allegedly more PvP-oriented one.

One thing I am curious about - the descriptions for Stoicism and
Unyielding Faith say "increases your chance to resist Fear . . ." and
"increases your resistance to Stun effects by an additional
10% . . .". Increases my chance from what? Additional to what? I'm
curious what the baseline chance to resist Fear and Stun effects is,
that these talents are "increasing" the chance from.

thats why i only used it as a dummy point in the build i chose. it just
seems i have bad luck or something and never resisted one anyways, so i
figure if i didnt resist with 15% less of a chance wont really hurt lol.

I don't have any stats, but I've seen a few resists already on my SCT.
I use that build both for healing an BGs and instances/raids and is
working fine - in PvP fear is quite popular and in instance runs it
happened more than once during AoE fear when tank was feared but not
me - allowing me to dispel the fear on tank.

Remember that stoicism also gives 30% chance that your spells will
resist dispelling - that includes not only your seals/buffs but also
buffs you give to another players.

There is a base chance to resist (I think it's about 4%), modified by
level difference, resistance to spell school, talents, and so on.
